Residents replace hate with love

Families of Old Bethpage had taken a stand against hateful messages that were sprawled on pavement in one of their local parks.

On Saturday families took to the parks to enjoy the weather, but instead of enjoying them they found hateful messages written out in chalk. The photos had started to circulate around Facebook in a group of local moms.

Residents have since joined together and decided to write messages of love in chalk.

The messages of hate were quickly removed by the Oyster Bay Parks Department and no arrests have been made.
