Kaler Pond was originally a Grist Mill that was donated to the Town of Brookhaven. It is currently the home to a TWA Flight 800 memorial and a a plaque dedicated to David Romeo, who caught a 3,001 largemouth bass in 1984 breaking a world record in 1984.

Besides the memorial and plaque, the town has constructed restrooms, a gated playground, picnic tables with shade, and handicap accessible ramps.

Nature wise, the Park offer’s it’s visitors stunning views of Mill Pond where people can enjoy fishing, a sandy beach like area for sun bathing, as well as some paths for a nice nature walk.
