Huntington Harbor Light

About this park

The Hunting Harbor Lighthouse had once gone by the name of Lloyd Harbor Lighthouse. As the current name refers this lighthouse is located in the Hunting Bay. The original Lloyd HArbor Lighthouse was built in 1857. It was replaced with the current lighthouse in 1912, and was eventually automated in 1949. The lighthouse is continuously lit to this day and stands firm in the harbor with its cast reinforced concrete foundation and building. The lighthouse was designed in the “Beaux-arts style” and looks like a Square Castle. In 1912, a fifth order Fresnel lens was installed. The lighthouse is NOT Accessible by land and is offlimits to visitors. You can however, take a boat up to it to enjoy it’s beauty.
