The New York State Office of Parks, recreation and Historic preservation has formally announced that Jones Beach State Park will be offering a series of walks to see seals from January all the way through March. A State Park naturalist will be leading visitors on an hour and a half long beach walk to the area where four species of seals can be observed. The walk will also provide opportunities for winter bird watching.
Participants are recommended to dress appropriately and to wear comfortable hiking footwear.
To partake in this excursion, the naturalist will meet at the Theodore Roosevelt Nature Center at West End Field #1
Reservations are required and will be accepted beginning two weeks prior to each date. Space is limited.
Fee’s:
$4.00 per person (ages 18+)
$3.00 per child (ages 3-17)
