Description

Southold Township has won a grant proposal of $120,000 to continue its Peconic Bay to Long Island Sound integrated trails initiative. The funds from the grant is to go towards removing dilapidated buildings and debris from any waterfront property, planting new native plants and tree’s as well as the creation of a 0.3 mile trail that would allow the public access to the site and its adjacent tidal creek. The 0.3 mile trail will connect to previously constructed trails and would be an addition to the Long Island Sound to Peconic Bay trail system.
